Craig Wolfley — known to everyone simply as Wolf — lived a life of extraordinary purpose. A retired NFL offensive lineman who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings, Craig brought the same fierce dedication he showed on the football field to everything he touched — his faith, his family, his community, and his calling to serve others.

A Life Well Lived

After retiring from professional football Craig built a second remarkable career as a beloved sports broadcaster, spending over twenty years as the voice Steelers fans trusted and loved. Alongside his wife Faith, Craig owned and operated a gym for over twenty years training youth, amateur athletes, and professionals alike in martial arts, boxing, and athletic development — sharing his passion for discipline, character, and excellence with everyone who walked through the door.

But it was Craig's heart for the vulnerable that truly defined him. His Christian faith was not just something he believed — it was something he lived every single day. Craig was a devoted supporter of the Light of Life Rescue Mission serving Pittsburgh's homeless community, Adventures in Training with a Purpose serving veterans and first responders, Paws for Safety training therapy dogs for veterans, Noah Angelici Hope Foundation supporting women and families in need, and New Life Fellowship Church where faith and community came together.

Craig Wolfley passed away on March 10, 2025 — just one month after finishing his book "If These Walls Could Talk: Pittsburgh Steelers" co-authored with Jim Wexell and published by Triumph Books. He left behind a legacy of love, faith, and service that continues to inspire everyone who knew him.

Wolf911 was born from love — a family's desire to ensure that Craig's extraordinary legacy of compassion and service would not only be remembered but would continue to grow and touch lives for generations to come.

Founded by Craig's wife Faith Wolfley — herself a United States Air Force veteran — Wolf911 carries Craig's heart forward as a bridge of hope and amplifier of compassion for those who need it most. Together with their children, grandchildren and the entire extended Wolfley family, Wolf911 honors Wolf's memory through action, service, and unwavering faith.
